Summer Athletic Camps

Summer Athletic Camps Build Confidence Character and New Relationships

The Summer Athletic Camps at Saint Gertrude High School are great ways to learn from our high school coaches, take advantage of the awesome athletic facilities at the Benedictine Schools of Richmond, and have fun! We welcome all experience levels! This summer, we are happy to offer field hockey, girls basketball, girls volleyball, and softball. Please reach out to our Athletic Director, Fran Pochily, with questions about any of our camps.

Why Participate In Our Summer Sports Camps

It is a great opportunity for youth athletes to learn and grow in their sport, gain confidence, build character, as well as meet fellow athletes from different schools and build new relationships.

About Our Facilities

The Benedictine Schools of Richmond operates Saint Gertrude High School and Benedictine College Preparatory. Together the schools share a peaceful, modern, and sprawling campus including the campus’s new, world-class athletic facilities, an auditorium, newly renovated baseball field, athletic fields, and a new state-of-the-art gymnasium.

Lady Gator Spring Field Hockey Clinic Series
WHAT is the Lady Gator Spring Field Hockey Clinic Series ...
This will be a series of 4 practice sessions focused on Beginner and Intermediate skill levels. (Not geared for the Advanced hockey player.)

Sessions will be conducive to learning, practicing, and strengthening field hockey fundamentals and understanding basic game strategies.
Practices will vary in format to include drills and small games and aim to be progressive in nature as players acquire individual skills and team concepts.

Open to players currently in the 7th, 8th, and 9th grade.

DATES/TIME/COST
Wednesdays April 9th, April 16th, April 30th and May7th ; 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM ; $25 per session...

LOCATION..
Wednesday practice will be on the Grass field (JA) in front of St. Gertrude's school, and on occasion, we will be using the AUX Gym if needed

Interested Participants need to...
1. Register online at HERE
2. Email Coach Heather at mhnich@gmail.com to confirm your daughter is registered and be able to share/receive additional information.
3. Each player will need to bring/wear to each session...
- Cleats/turf AND tennis shoes
- Mouthguard
- Shin guards - hockey preferred, but soccer shin guards can work for the clinics
- Water bottle
- Reversible pinnie if possible
** A borrowed hockey stick is available to use ... player just needs to communicate this need in advance

Location: OAC
Cost per session: $125

Equipment: stick, eye guard, mouth guard, tennis/cleats/turf shoes, and water.

Our camps are a fun way for beginners and experienced players alike to learn more about a sport and our schools as the campers will get to work with our high school coaches and student athletes while making new friends and experiencing our campus.
